This is obtained by extending to THz frequencies and waveguides an already proven concept based on mode selection in optical fibers. The approach is validated at 0.1 THz owing to the realization of a prototype involving a circular waveguide and two tapers that exhibits a radially polarized beam at its output. Cela permet de distinguer plusieurs objets en fonction de l'absorption de chacun d'entre eux. Par exemple, on peut distinguer des acides aminés ou encore la chiralité de molécules.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Télécommunications Terahertz&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;La montée en fréquence des micro ondes au domaine terahertz permettrait d'augmenter sensiblement la bande passante et donc le &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;débit&lt;/span&gt; dans les telecoms. Le principal frein à l'utilisation des rayonnements terahertz dans les telecom en espace libre est l'&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;absorption de l'eau&lt;/span&gt;.
